Cogzia Acceptable Use Policy

1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes prohibited uses of the Cogzia platform. This AUP is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of Service.

We reserve the right to modify this AUP at any time. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.


2. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

2.1. Illegal Activities

  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
  • Facilitate or promote illegal activities
  • Process, store, or transmit data in violation of export control laws
  • Evade sanctions or trade restrictions

2.2. Harmful Content

  • Generate, store, or distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Create content that exploits or harms minors
  • Produce or distribute non-consensual intimate imagery
  • Generate content intended to harass, threaten, or intimidate individuals
  • Create deceptive content designed to defraud or mislead (e.g., phishing)

2.3. Security Violations

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other systems
  • Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without explicit authorization
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure
  • Circumvent authentication, rate limiting, or usage controls
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code

2.4. Service Abuse

  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent limits or restrictions
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access without authorization
  • Use automated systems to generate artificial load or inflate usage
  • Intentionally degrade service performance for other users
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

2.5. AI-Specific Restrictions

You may not use the Service or AI outputs to:

  • Impersonate real individuals without their consent, including by generating misleading content that purports to be from them;
  • Generate synthetic media ("deepfakes") for deception, harassment, or other harmful purposes;
  • Use outputs as training data or ground truth to develop foundation models or API-compatible services that are substantially similar to, or are intended to replace, the core AI services provided by Cogzia;
  • Circumvent or attempt to bypass AI safety measures, content filters, or usage restrictions;
  • Use outputs in ways that violate the terms of third-party AI providers that we rely on to deliver the Service.

2.6. Intellectual Property Violations

  • Infringe copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
  • Use the Service to generate content that violates others' IP rights
  • Scrape, copy, or extract substantial portions of Service content

2.7. High-Risk and Regulated Uses

Unless we have agreed in a separate written contract, you may not use the Service in connection with systems or activities where failure or malfunction could reasonably be expected to result in death, personal injury, or severe physical, environmental, or property damage, including (without limitation):

  • Medical diagnosis or treatment decisions;
  • Aviation, air traffic control, or other critical transportation systems;
  • Operation of nuclear facilities;
  • Life support or emergency response systems;
  • Weapons systems or military combat operations.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable sector-specific and professional regulations.


3. Content Standards

You are responsible for all Content processed through your account, including any AI-generated outputs you choose to use, distribute, or rely on. Content must not:

  • Be defamatory, obscene, or offensive;
  • Contain personal information of others without authorization or a valid legal basis;
  • Violate privacy rights or data protection laws;
  • Infringe intellectual property rights;
  • Constitute spam or unsolicited commercial communications;
  • Be used in production or decision-making contexts without appropriate human review, testing, and validation of AI-generated outputs.

4. Resource Usage

You must use Service resources responsibly:

  • Do not generate unnecessary load on the system
  • Implement reasonable caching and rate limiting in your integrations
  • Report bugs and vulnerabilities responsibly
  • Optimize inefficient usage patterns when identified

5. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violations of this AUP, please report them to: abuse@cogzia.com

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.


6. Enforcement

6.1. Investigation

We may investigate suspected violations. You agree to cooperate with any investigation and provide information reasonably requested.

6.2. Actions

Violations may result in:

  • Warning and request to cease the activity
  • Temporary suspension of access
  • Permanent termination of your account
  • Removal of violating content
  • Reporting to law enforcement where appropriate

6.3. No Refunds

Accounts terminated for AUP violations are not entitled to refunds.

6.4. Appeals

If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error, contact support@cogzia.com within 30 days.
